About the Book

Every child has a Tony.

That little voice that says you're not good enough. You made a mistake. You should have done better. Most of us spend years fighting it.

Easy, Tony!shows children — and the adults who love them — that there's another way.

Warm, tender, and quietly profound, Easy, Tony!follows a boy who learns that his inner critic dragon named Tony isn't an enemy to defeat — he's a part of himself that needs understanding, patience, and a little compassion.

In a world where children face mounting pressure to perform, achieve, and be perfect,

Easy, Tony!offers something radical: permission to be kind to yourself.

Short Author Bio
(For use in program listings, podcast intros, and event materials)

Sherri Rasmussen is the author of Easy, Tony!™, a debut children's picture book about self-compassion and the inner critic. A songwriter, wildlife photographer, and survivor based in Washington State, Sherri created Tony because she knows what it feels like to have a voice inside that's harder on you than anyone else could ever be. Her tagline — My Journey Is My Teacher — is the heart of everything she does.

Long Author Bio
(For feature articles, book listings, and media kits)

Sherri Rasmussen is an author, songwriter, and wildlife photographer based in Washington State. She grew up with the lakes and long winters of Minnesota, spent more than two decades building a life in New York, and was present in lower Manhattan on September 11, 2001 — a day that changed everything. A survivor of trauma and loss, Sherri returned to Minnesota to care for her father through his final year. After his passing she followed the beauty westward, landing in Washington where the water meets the mountains and the eagles fly low enough to photograph.

She created Tony — the fiery inner-critic dragon at the heart of Easy, Tony!— because she knows that voice intimately. The one that says not enough. Too much. Try harder. Through Tony, Sherri wanted to give children something she wished she'd had earlier in life: a way to learn self-compassion and love.

Easy, Tony!is her debut picture book and the first chapter of a much larger creative world built around the belief that self-compassion isn't weakness — it's a superpower.

Her personal tagline is My Journey Is My Teacher.
