Sherri Rasmussen has spent her life listening — to music, to nature, to the stories that live in the silence after something breaks. As an author, songwriter, and wildlife photographer based in Washington State, she has always been drawn to the moments where vulnerability becomes strength and leaning into the dark spaces reveals the most light.
She created Tony because she knows that voice. The one that says not good enough. Try harder. You should have known better. Most of us spend years fighting it. Sherri wanted to write a book that showed children — and the adults who love them — that there's another way.
Easy, Tony!™ is her debut picture book. But Tony isn't going anywhere.
More stories are coming. The Easy Tony Plush Dragon™ is on his way later this year. And Sherri is just getting started building a world where self-compassion isn't an afterthought — it's the whole point.
